Wednesday, 15 October 2014

Amid demonstrations by a group of Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal rejecting the newly formed committee of the student body, three crude bombs exploded in front of BNP’s Nayapaltan central office Wednesday. However, no one was injured in the blast.
Police cordoned off the BNP office following the incident.
Witnesses said a dissident JCD group, which failed to find their place in the new committee, brought out a procession under the banner of ‘Chhatra Samaj’ in front of the BNP office around 5pm, chanting slogans against the new JCD committee.
Being chased by police, the JCD men fled the scene at one stage.
Later, three crude bombs went off in front of the BNP office. However, no injury was reported in the incident, according to a news agency.
