3-day birth anniv of Pagla Kanai begins

A three-day festival on 204th birth anniversary of mystic bard Pagla Kanai began at Berbari village under Jhenidah Sadar Upazila Sunday.
Pagla Kanai Smriti Sangrakkhan Sangsad chalked out an elaborate programme on the occasion.
The programme includes placing of wreaths on the grave of Pagla Kanai, Milad Mahfil on the graveyard, fight with sticks and painting competition on Sunday, folk music and Vab music on Monday and cultural function and discussion on the closing day Tuesday.
UNO, Jhenidah Sadar Upazila attended the programme at 9 am on behalf of the Upazila and Zila parishad, Jhenidah.
