3 die in Ctg road crash

At least three people, including a woman, have been killed in a road accident in Chittagong, police say. Witnesses said two others were injured in the accident involving a lorry and a four-wheel human hauler at Saltgola in the port city on Friday morning. Metropolitan police’s Additional Commissioner Mostaq Ahmed said the victims were passengers of the four-wheeler. He identified two of the victims as Kafil Uddin, 27, and Farida Akter, 25. Police said five injured passengers were rushed to the Chittagong Medical College Hospital where doctors declared three of them dead. Of the other two, one Sumi Akter, 22, is still undergoing treatment while the other, identified as ‘Rafiq’, left the hospital after receiving first aid, according to bdnews24.com.
