3 die in Kishoreganj crash

Three people have been killed and 20 others injured in a road accident at Pakundia of Kishoreganj. ‘The accident occurred near Barati under the Pakundia municipality around 11:45 am,’ said Inspector Shams Uddin of Pakundia Police Station. The dead victims have been identified as Swapan, 55, Ahammed Ali, 35, and Miah Hossain, 50. Kawser Hossain, a doctor on duty at the Pakundia Upazila Health complex, said ten critically injured people had been sent to the Kishoreganj General Hospital. ‘They are in a grave condition.’ Inspector Shams Uddin said, ‘A Dhaka-bound bus of the Jalsiri Paribahan hit a battery-run auto-rickshaw coming from the opposite direction. The collision smashed the auto-rickshaw and left the bus upside down. The accident killed three people on the spot and injured 20,’ according to bdnews24.com.
