3 die in Noakhali road accident

Three people died when a tractor hit an auto-rickshaw at Noakhali’s Companyganj upazila. Two persons were also injured in the accident around 1am on Sunday at Rastar Matha under Charkakra union, said Companyganj Police Station OC Sajedur Rahman. All those killed were auto-rickshaw passengers. The dead have been identified as Alamgir Mirza, ‘Habib’ and Harun Alamin. The auto-rickshaw driver and a passenger were rushed to a private hospital in critical condition. Quoting locals, OC Rahman said the auto-rickshaw was smashed after being hit by the tractor. Alamgir died on the spot while the two others succumbed to their injuries on way to hospital, the OC said. The bodies were handed over to their relatives.
