3 die in separate incidents in Jamalpur

Three people, including a minor girl, were killed in separate incidents in Sarishabari upazila of Jamalpur district on Thursday. Sources said a minor girl drowned in a pond while taking bath at her grandfather’s house at Tarakandi village in the upazila in the afternoon. The deceased was identified as Meem, 8, daughter of Minhaz Mia, a van puller of Shimlapalli in the upazila. In another incident, a man allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself from the ceiling of his house at Ramchandrakhali village in the upazila in the afternoon. The deceased was identified as Ratan Mia, 24, son of Kader Khan of the village. Besides, Rubel, 20, son of Sobhan of Boyra Fakir Bari area in the upazila, allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself from the ceiling of his house over family feud, according to a news agency.
