3 drug peddlers held with 1,800 Yaba in Jessore

Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) personnel arrested three alleged drug peddlers in possession of 1,800 pieces of Yaba tablet from a private car in Jes Tower area on the Chowrasta-Garikhana road of the Jessore town on Wednesday night. The arrestees were identified as Jahidul Islam, 30, Shariful Islam, 28, and Arif Hossain, 28. Assistant superintendent of police Mohammad Ziaul Haque of Rab-6 said tipped off a team of the elite force conducted a drive in the area and intercepted the private car at night. Later, they recovered 1,800 pieces of Yaba tablet searching the vehicle and arrested the trio. A case was filed in this connection, according to a news agency.
