3 electrocuted

Three people died and another one was injured from electrocution at Sardar Para Chakchaka in Dinajpur Sadar Upazila on Thursday. The deceased were identified as Shuvo Rahman, 18, son of Majibor Rahman, Sadequl Islam, 16, son of Mafijul Islam, and Mosaddekul Islam, 45, son of Mozammel Hossain. Locals said Shuvo came in contact with a live electric wire while connecting a water pump to pump water from a pond at Sardar Para Chakchaka around 11:00 am. At one stage, Sadequl and Mosaddekul also suffered electric shock while trying to save Shuvo. Mafijul Islam, father of Sadequl, was also electrified and became injured while saving his son. Later all of them were rushed to Dinajpur Medical College Hospital where doctors declared Shuvo, Sadequl and Mosaddekul dead, according to UNB.
