3 electrocuted in dists

CHITTAGONG, Aug 31 (BSS): A youth was electrocuted at Fakirhat area under Sitakunda upazila of the district early today.
The deceased was identified as Mohammad Roni, 25, son of Monir Hossain, hailed from West Rupsha village under Faridgonj upazila of Chandpur district.
Roni was electrocuted after he came in contact with a live electric wire that fell on the road while he was unloading sand from a truck at Fakirhat area, said Nayek Mohammad Jahangir of Chittagong Medical College Hospital (CMCH) Police outpost. Locals rushed him to CMCH where the attending doctors declared him dead.
BSS reports from Jamalpur: A minor boy was electrocuted in Jamalpur municipal area of the district today.
The victim was identified as Sifat 7, son of Sanwar Hossain at Hatchandra village in Jamalpur.
Police said when Sifat, a student of class one was playing near-by his house rain came and the boy took shelter inside a tin- shed shop which was electrified.
As Sifat entered the shop he came in touch with the shop and died instantaneously.
Another report from Rangpur says: A farmer was electrocuted in village Baro Baniapara under Bishnupur union of Badarganj upazila in the district this afternoon, police and local sources said.
The deceased was identified as Mostakul Islam, 35, son of Anisul Haque of the same village.
Mostakul was electrocuted after being caught by a torn electric cable that suddenly fell down on him while he was cleaning weeds in his growing Transplanted Aman field there.
