3 forest officials rescued in Rangamati

The three kidnapped forest officials have been rescued at Naniachar Upazila in Rangamati district early Wednesday. Conservator Farid Mia, Range Officer Robiul Islam and Forester Bibartan Chakma of the forest department (North) of Chittagong Hill Tracts (CHT) were rescued from a forest around 12:16am, 19 days after they were kidnapped by some miscreants from Harikata village of Langadu Upazila. Members of a joint force conducted a drive in a deep forest beside the Naniachar-Malchhari Road and rescued the three forest officials, according to private TV channels.
