3 get life for killing a man 9 yrs ago

A court in Netrakona has convicted three people and sentenced them to life term rigorous imprisonment for killing a man in 2005. The convicts were identified as Abdur Rashid, 42, son of Kadar Ali alias Kalar Bap, Alhaj Uddin alias Alkas Uddin 40, son of Kadar Ali, and Hormuj Ali 37, son of Wazed Ali of Adhpur village of Sadar Upazila. The court also fined them Tk 50,000 each, in default, to suffer five years more RI. After examining records and witnesses, Additional District and Sessions Judge Mohammad Abdul Hamid handed down the punishment to the convicts, acquitting two other accused in the case as allegations brought against them could not be proved, according to a news agency.
