3 held while illegally entering from India

Three Bangladeshi students, who have been receiving education in India, were arrestedat Bhomra at Satkhira Sadar Upazila on Tuesday night while they were returning home from that country illegally. The arrested are Abdur Rahim, 27, son of Abdul Motaleb, Mahmud Hossain, 21, son of Abdul Momin, and Yeasin Ali, 22, son of Zaker Hossain of Fatika village in Hathazari Upazila of Chittagong district. Tipped off, a team of police arrested them while they were entering Bangladesh from India through Lakshmidari border point without passport, said sub-inspector Abdul Momin of Sadar Police Station. Police also said the students went to study in India without passport and were returning home after long days. Inspector (Investigation) Sheikh Nasiruddin of Sadar Police Station said police are investigating whether the arrestees were involved in any militant activities, according to a news agency.
