3 held while illegally entering Secretariat

Police arrested three people from a Secretariat gate on Thursday afternoon while they were trying to enter it with a visitor pass of the Prime Minister’s Office. Police recovered a PMO Visitor Card (G-2-150), a fake visiting card and an ID card of Jubo Kalyan Samity from their possession. The arrested people were identified as Gafur, 50, Saleh Mollah, 50, and SA Jahid, 38. The law enforcers said on-duty policemen at the gate of the Secretariat challenged the three people when they were trying to enter the Secretariat showing the PMO visitor pass around 12:30 pm. The law enforcers arrested them and handed them over to Shahbagh Police Station. Police said the arrestees were involved in lobbying in the Secretariat using names of the high PMO officials, according to UNB.
