3 held with 26,110 fake dollars in Joypurhat

JOYPURHAT: Members of Rapid Action Battalion (Rab) in a drive Saturday arrested three people along with counterfeit currency of US$ 26,110 from Aatpara border area in Panchbibi upazila.
The arrested were identified as Shafiqul Islam of Bara Haripur village and Shanti Rani of Durgapur village in Parbatipur upazila of Dinajpur and Sadequl Islam of West Debuamdhara village in Pirgachha upazila of Rangpur.
Maj Abdur Rahim, camp commander of Rab-5 Joypurhat camp, said being tipped-off, a team of elite force conducted a drive in the area around 1:30pm and arrested the trio along with the fake notes, according to a news agency.
