3 held with 30 bombs, firearms in Comilla

Three people were arrested along with 30 powerful bombs, three pistols, one light gun, one rifle, three cocktails and some country-made sharp weapons in Chauddagram Upazila in Comilla district early Wednesday. The arrestees were identified as Abdul Latif and his mother Manikdhan Bibi and neighbour Faruk, residents of Alkora village. Uttam Kumar Chakrabarty, officer-in-charge of Chauddagram Police Station, being tipped off, a police team raided a house in the village around 2:30am and arrested them. Police also recovered 30 bombs, three cocktails, three pistols, one light gun, one rifle and some country-made sharp weapons from them. A case was filed, according to a news agency.
