3 held with Phensidyl at Narail

Detectives arrested three alleged drug traders at Sitarampur-Bhanga Bridge at Narail Sadar Upazila on Friday. They also recovered 147 bottles Phensidyl from them. The arrestees were identified as Rony Islam, 30, son of Amirul Islam, a resident of Shalgharia village of Sdadar Upazila, Alam Khan, 32, son of late Ayon Uddin of Srikantopur village of Atgharia Upazila and Joynal Hossain, 42, son of late Jafar Ali of Krishnapur village of Sadar Upazila of Pabna district. Detective Branch (DB) police sources said being tipped off, a DB team raided at Sitarampur-Bhanga Bridge and intercepted a microbus around 8:00am. The detectives recovered 147 bottles of contraband syrup from the vehicle and arrested them, according to UNB.
