3 Hizb-ut-Tahrir men held in Dhaka

Three persons suspected to be members of the outlawed Islamist outfit Hizb-ut-Tahrir have been arrested from Dhaka's Badda area. Badda police station’s OC MA Jalil said that they were nabbed from Badda's Ali Morh area around 11:00pm on Wednesday. He identified the arrestees as Noor Alam, 27, Amjad Hossain, 32 and Mahmudul Alam, 18. Hizb-ut-Tahrir might had been planning to carry out subversive activists in Dhaka through these suspected militants, police suspected, according to a news agency.
