3 Huji men remanded

A Dhaka court has placed three suspected members of outlawed militant outfit Harkat-ul-Jihad-al-Islami (Huji) on a 2-day remand each in a case filed under the Anti-Terrorism Act. They are Md Abdullah, Md Redwan and Md Mufiqul Islam Ripon. Metropolitan Magistrate, Dhaka, Mollah Saiful Islam passed the order when Detective Branch of Police (DB) SI SM Raisul Islam produced them before the court seeking a 10-day remand for each on Sunday afternoon. Members of Detective Branch (DB) of police arrested them from the city’s Postogola area on Saturday night following information given by four Huji leaders who were arrested by the DB police on October 25 from Dhaka and Naryanganj districts, according to UNB.
