3 injured in BCL factional clash at MM College

JESSORE, Apr 2: Two factions of the student wing of the ruling party Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) clashed with each other on the campus of Jessore Government MM College Wednesday and Thursday leaving at least three injured.
The injured are identified as BCL activists Tauhidur Rahman and Rabiul Islam and student of honours 4th year student of Economics Ashraful Islam.
General students of the college alleged that BCL activists loyal to lawmaker for Jessore-3 Khaledur Rahman Tito and Sadar Upazila chairman and also general secretary of district unit AL Shahin Chaklader clashed with each
other with iron rods and sharp weapons Wednesday and Thursday over establishing supremacy.
They engaged in clashes again following the forthcoming annual sports of the college.
The group loyal to the lawmaker wants the lawmaker as the chief guest at the programme while the other group opposes it.
