3 JCD men hurt in factional clash at DU

At least three student leaders were injured in a clash between two factions of Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal (JCD) on the Dhaka University (DU) campus Saturday.
The injured were identified as Assistant Office Secretary Zia, Health and Environment Secretary Pilot and Entertainment Secretary Monir. They were sent to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) for treatment.
All of them are supporters of JCD central committee led by President Sultan Salahuddin Tuku.
Sources said the clash ensued between the supporters of Tuku and JCD central committee General Secretary Amirul Islam Alim.
Injured JCD leader Pilot told reporters that the JCD men, who didn't get posts in the newly formed central committee, had attacked the leaders, who got posts, when they came to DU Madhu's canteen at noon, leaving the three injured.
