3 killed, 10 injured in Natore crash

At least three people were killed and 10 others injured in a head-on collision between a bus and a truck at Natore Sadar upazila on Thursday morning. Two of the dead could be identified as truck driver Sirajul Islam, 35, and ‘Keya Paribahan’ bus passenger Momin Uddin, 25. The other deceased could not be identified immediately. Police and witnesses said the Natore town-bound bus from Dhaka collided head-on with the goods-laden truck coming from the opposite direction on Dhaka-Natore Highway at Hoybatpur around 5:15am, leaving the three dead on the spot, and 10 passengers of the bus injured. On information, a police team and a fire fighting unit rushed to the spot and whisked the injured to Sadar Hospital, according to a news agency.
