3 killed, 2 injured in Ctg accidents

CHITTAGONG, Jun 12 (BSS): Three people, including a female student, were killed and two others injured in separate accidents in the city today.
The deceased were identified as Farjana Akhter, 18, Siraz-ud-Dowlla, 35, and Mohammad Abu Islam, 45.
Police said Farjana, an HSC second year student of Kulgaon City Corporation College, allegedly committed suicide by jumping under the wheels of a running train in Baizid Cantonment area around 11 am.
Farjana was locked in an altercation with her boyfriend Saju, a Polytechnic student, and at one stage she abruptly jumped on the railway tracks. She died on the spot, while Saju, who tried to save her was critically injured.
The body of Farjana was sent to Chittagong Medical College Hospital (CMCH) morgue while Saju is undergoing treatment at CMCH.
In another accident, a man named Siraz-ud-Dowlla died on the spot when a covered van dashed a CNG-run auto rickshaw in Mastan Nagar area under Mirsarai upazila of the district around 1 pm.
The other passenger of the auto rickshaw was critically injured and admitted to a local health complex.
Police seized the covered van and auto-rickshaw but both the drivers managed to flee away from the spot.
