3 killed in Bagerhat road accident

KHULNA, Dec 3: Three vegetable vendors were killed and five others injured in a road accident near Joukhali bridge of Khulna-Bagerhat highway of Bagerhat on Tuesday morning.
The deceased were identified as Mostofa Shaikh (30), son of Hakim Shaikh of Boulpur under Morelgong thana, Saidur Rahman (35) of Hoglapasha area of the area and Hanif Shaikh of Pirojpur area.
Police and local sources said that a vegetable-laden truck was going to Boulpuer Bazar from Khulna and while reached near Joukhali bridge of Bagerhat the truck turned-turtle into the roadside ditch leaving three persons dead on the spot and five others injured. The injured persons were sent to Bagerhat Sadar Hospital.
