3 killed in Comilla road accident

COMILLA, Aug 16 (UNB): Three people were killed and 20 others injured when a bus after colliding head-on with a covered van plunged into a roadside ditch at Chandana Krishnapur on Comilla-Noakhali road in Laksam upazila early this (Thursday) morning.
The identities of the deceased could not be known immediately. Witnesses said the Dhaka-bound bus fell into the ditch early in the morning as it collided with the speeding covered van coming from opposite direction, leaving three people dead on the spot.
The injured were admitted to different hospitals and local clinics.
