3 killed in Dhamrai road accident

Three people were killed and 10 others injured in a head-on collision between a bus and a truck on Dhaka-Aricha Highway in Dhamrai upazila of Dhaka district on Monday. The deceased, identified as Imtiaz, 40, and Kawsar, 30, both businessmen, and garments worker Bishwajit, 32, hailed from Singair and Sadar upazilas of Manikganj district. Police and locals said a Dhaka-bound bus collided head-on with the truck on the highway at Shreerampur around 4.00am, leaving truck riders Imtiaz and Kawsar dead on the spot and 10 others on the bus injured. The garments worker, Bishwajit, was also injured in the accident while he was walking on the road. Bishwajit was taken to Manikganj Sadar Hospital where the doctor declared him dead, according to UNB.
