3 killed in Narsingdi road accident

Three people were killed in a road accident at Rainadi on Dhaka-Sylhet highway in Narsingdi Sadar upazila on Sunday. The deceased was identified as Dr Sirajul Islam, 58, a resident of Moghbazar in the capital, his daughter’s father-in-law Adbul Khaleq, 60, and jeep driver Antu, 30. Locals said they died in a head-on collision between a truck and a jeep. Police said Sirajul along with Abdul Khaleq was going to Brahmanbaria district by the jeep. When the jeep reached Rainadi, it collided head-on with a truck, leaving them and the jeep driver injured on the spot. They were whisked off to a local hospital first and then shifted to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) as their condition deteriorated. The three injured person succumbed to their injuries at the DMCH. In-charge of Madhabdi Police Camp Shah Alam confirmed the incident, according to BSS.
