3 killed in Rajbari road accident

At least three people, a policeman among them, have been killed in a road accident involving a truck that hit them at Rajbari Sadar Upazila. Fifteen other people, including four police constables, were also injured in the accident on the Doulatdiya-Khulna highway on Thursday morning, Rajbari highway police OC Md Hossain Sardar said. The dead have been identified as Rubel Hossain, 32, a police constable, and Harun Sheikh, 45. The other could not be identified immediately. A Dhaka-bound bus coming from Khulna hit a roadside tree around 1:30am. The highway police arranged another bus for the passengers. A truck hit the passengers when they were boarding the bus. Two bus passengers died on the spot while constable Rubel Hossain died in Faridpur Medical College Hospital. The injured were admitted to the hospital, according to bdnews24.com.
