3 killed in Sirajganj road accident

SIRAJGANJ, Jan 16 (UNB): Three people who were critically injured in a road accident at Binnadair in Shahjadpur upazila on Monday midnight died at hospital on Tuesday. The deceased were identified as Prince of Sathia upazila of Pabna and Nazmul Hossain and Razib of Bera upazila of the same district. Officer-in-charge of Shahjadpur police station Matiar Rahman said a bus coming from the opposite direction hit a Bera-bound CNG-run auto-rickshaw from Bogra on the Nagarbari-Bogra Highway in the area on Monday midnight, leaving three people, including the auto-rickshaw driver, injured. On information, police rescued the three injured and took them to Potajia hospital in Shahjadpur where attending doctors declared CNG passenger Prince dead. Another CNG passenger Najmul Hossain and its driver Razib succumbed to their injuries at the hospital on Tuesday afternoon.
