At least three people, including two siblings, were killed as a wall of Sylhet International Cricket Stadium collapsed on them early Tuesday. The dead are Zahed Ahmed, 22, son of Azan Ali and his (Zahed's) sister Nasima Akter, 22, and Ruhul, 17, cousin of Zahed. Fire Service and Civil Defence officials said the eastside wall of the stadium caved in due to incessant rainfall crushing down the house of Azan Ali at labour colony of Lakkatura tea garden. Azan Ali said the incident took place around 2:30am when the wall of the stadium fell down on their house. All inmates of the house managed to come out while Zahed, Nasima and Ruhul were asleep inside, only to meet the tragic death. On information a fire service unit rushed to the spot and recovered the bodies with the help of the locals, according to UNB.
