3 killed in Sylhet road accident

Three people, including a woman and a minor, were killed in a road accident on the Sylhet-Dhaka Highway in South Surma upazila in Sylhet on Tuesday. The deceased were identified as auto-rickshaw driver Abdus Salam, 25, passenger Rokhsana Begum, 35 and her 10-year old daughter ‘Mim’ died on spot. They were residents of Mendibagh, in Sylhet city. Officer-in-charge of South Surma Police Station M Mursalin said the accident took place when a Habiganj-bound bus hit the CNG-run auto-rickshaw on Telibazar Bridge around 11:00am, leaving driver Salam and two passengers dead on the spot, according to UNB.
