3 more arrested in N\\\'ganj murders

Three more persons, suspected of involvement in the Narayanganj multiple murders, have been arrested from Narshingdi. Narayanganj’s Superintendent of Police (SP) Khandaker Muhid Uddin told reporters that there was a woman among those arrested, all picked up early on Thursday. Those nabbed were ‘Mintu’, ‘Tipu’ and ‘Masuma’, he said . But the SP did not disclose any details over what led to the raid at Narshingdi. The latest arrests takes the number of those detained for the murders to 18. However, none of the accused in the case, including councillor Nur Hossain and Awami League leader Haji Md Yasin, have yet to be arrested. Seven including Narayanganj City Councillor Nazrul Islam and senior lawyer Chandan Kumar Sarkar were abducted on April 27. Three days later, their bodies were found in Shitalakkha and Dhaleshwari rivers, according to bdnews24.com.
