3 more children die of measles, symptoms
Some 2.95m children come under vaccination programme

Three more children died of measles and measles-like symptoms with the health authorities reporting 1,347 new cases in the past 24 hours until 8:0am on Tuesday.
Of the fatalities, one was confirmed as a measles case, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) daily bulletin.
Among the new infected ones, 188 were confirmed as measles cases and the raining ones got admitted with measles-like symptoms.
With the latest daily tally, a total of 223 children died of measles and measles-like symptoms in the last one month since March 15.
Of them, 38 died from measles.
Since mid March, the total measles patients rose to 25,935, including 3,805 confirmed cases, said the DGHS.
A total of 17,085 measles patients were admitted to hospitals nationwide since March 15 and 14,106 of them had recovered from the infectious disease, according to the DGHS.
In the backdrop of the rapid spread of measles across the country, the government has started nationwide measles vaccination.
Vaccinating children aged 6 to 59 months is critical for controlling infectious diseases like measles, according to health experts.
A total of 2.95 million children have come under the vaccination programme with the authorities reporting about 95 per cent coverage since the start of the vaccination campaign this month, according to the DGHS.
Measles virus has become pervasive as herb immunity in the country weekend amid low vaccination coverage, said health specialists.
Globally, measles infection sees a rise in the summer. But Bangladesh plunged into a crisis due to the massive outbreak due to low vaccine coverage in the last few years.
