3 more devotees die on second day of Ijtema

Three more Muslim devotees died as the first phase of Biswa Ijtema stepped into second day on Saturday. Of the deceased, two died of cardiac arrest early today while the body of another devotee from Bhola district was found around 10:30pm on Friday night, said Ismail Hossain, officer-in-charge of Tongi Police Station. So far, five Muslim devotees have died on the Ijtema ground, around 20km off the capital. Samsuddin, 60, of Gafargaon upazila in Mymensingh and Zihad Ali, 55, of Daulatpur upazila in Kushtia died of cardiac arrest around 1:00am and 5:00am respectively, according to bdnews24.com.
