3 outlaws held with firearms in Pabna

Our Correspondent PABNA, Oct 25: Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) arrested three activists of an outlawed party from Kashinathpur village of Santhia upazila of the district early Tuesday. They also recovered two firearms and ammunitions from them. The arrestees are identified as Ripon Mondol, 29, Rabiul Islam, 25, and Harunur Rashid, 23, of village Bilshalangi in Santhia. The are accused in several cases including murder and robberies, RAB claimed. Assistant director of Pabna RAB camp Monjurul Hassan said acting on a tip off an operation team of RAB-12 Pabna camp raided Aynul Islam's residence at about 3.30am on Tuesday where the criminals were holding secret meeting. RAB arrested the three from the spot. A 22-bore revolver, a shutter gun and 10 rounds of bullets recovered from the arrestees. The arrestees are accused of murder and other criminal charges. A case was filed with Santhia police in this regard.
