3 robbers held with looted valuables in Natore

Police arrested three robbers along with looted money and gold at Lalbazar Swarno Potti at Natore town early Monday. The arrestees are Sabed, Rafiqul Islam and Montu. Police said a gang of 10-12 robbers entered the house of Zahidul Islam Jewel at Amhati village by identifying themselves as officials of the locals administration and held the house inmates hostage at gunpoint on Sunday midnight. They looted several tolas of gold ornaments, Tk 50,000 cash, land documents and other valuables from the house. The hoodlums looted gold and money from the house of Mafij Uddin and Ziaur Rahman of the same village that night. Later, a patrol team of police intercepted them and arrested three of the gangsters along with the looted money and gold at Lalbazar Swarno Potti around 2:00am while they were trying to flee along with booty, according to UNB.
