3 siblings drown in Sunamganj

Three siblings drowned in a pond in Tahirpur upazila in Sunamganj district on Monday afternoon. The deceased were identified as Al Amin, 10, Shamim, 8 and Alamin, 6, sons of one Azhar Ali, a resident of Laurergarh village under Badaghat union. Chairman of Badaghat Union Parishad Nijam Uddin said the three brothers drowned while playing near a pond by their house. Later, their bodies were recovered around 4:45pm, he said. When contacted, the officer-in-charge of Tahirpur Police Station confirmed the incident, according to a news agency.
