3 stalkers fined for assaulting CU female teachers

CHITTAGONG, Mar 23: Three stalkers were fined for assaulting two female teachers of Chittagong University (CU) today. A mobile court led by Hathazari Upazila Nirbahi Officer Sheikh Farid Ahmed in presence of the CU proctorial body and Officer-in-Charge of Hathazari thana Abul Kalam Azad fined the three stalkers Taka 20,000 each. The three stalkers were identified as Naieem, 28, Khurshed, 22 and Mijanur Rahman, 27. The trio was arrested last night from the university Shahi Colony mosque area following complaint from the two teachers. The teachers in the complaint alleged that the stalkers hurled abusive languages and tried to run over them with a motorcycle near Pritilata Hall at around 10pm last night.
