3 suspected militants held in Dhaka

Three suspected militants were arrested in the city on Sunday night. Dhaka Metropolitan Police’s Deputy Commissioner Krishnapada Roy claimed that the arrestees are citizens of Myanmar. He said: ‘Police arrested three Rohingya militants – Nur Hossain aka Rafikul Islam, 26, Yasir Arafat, 22, and Omar Karim, 25, – from Lalbagh’s Etimkhana Mor (crossing) around 9:30pm on Sunday.’ Police also suspect that the they have links with Jamaat-ul-Mujahideen Bangladesh (JMB) and the explosions in West Bengal’s Burdwan town on October 2. They were caught with five detonators, two gel explosives and several bomb-making ingredients, said Additional Deputy Commissioner of Detective Branch (DB) of police, Saidur Rahman, according to a news agency.
