3 to die in N\\\'ganj for killing mother-daughter

A Narayanganj court has sentenced three persons to death for killing a woman and her daughter two years ago. The court of Additional District and Sessions Judge Mizanur Rahman pronounced the verdict in the 2012 murder case on Wednesday afternoon. The condemned convicts are Abdul Malek, alias Hiru Malek, Omar Faruk and Adbus Salam. Mabiya Akhter, 40, wife of Saudi expatriate Ahammed Ali, and her daughter Sadia Akhter, 12, were murdered at their home in Narayanganj’s Paikparha area on August 16, 2012. Akhter’s brother Nurul Huda filed a case over the murders. Later, police pressed charges against the three after securing prima facie evidence of their involvement in the murders, according to bdnews24.com.
