3 tourists drown in Sylhet

Three tourists, including a minor boy, drowned as a boat carrying them sank in the Piyain River at Jaflong of Goainghat upazila of Sylhet on Thursday afternoon. Abdul Hye, officer-in-charge of Goainghat Police Station, said a boat carrying 15-20 tourists capsized in the river around 4:30pm when they were returning to Bollarghat from Khasiapunji, according to a news agency.
