3 truckloads of cloth seized in Ctg

Customs intelligence officials in a drive seized three truckloads of cloth imported for Chittagong Export Processing Zone from Teribazar area of Chittagong city on early Thursday. Jakir Hossain, deputy director of the customs intelligence said, on secret information that three trucks carrying the consignment of cloth, which were supposed to go to the EPZ, went to Rajmoni Transport Agency in Teribazar, a team of customs intelligence conducted a drive in the area around 12:30am. The team seized the cloth of pants and t-shirt worth Tk 60 million as no valid documents could be shown against the goods, added the official. The official said the cloth had been imported for the EPZ, according to a news agency.
