30 injured in Sunamganj clash

SUNAMGANJ, Nov 17 (UNB): At least 30 people were injured in a clash between two rival groups over a road construction work in Bajnamahal area of Chatok municipal town Sunday afternoon.
Quoting locals, police said armed followers of Yahhiah Abedin and Billal Miah of the area locked horns when the former tried to obstruct a road construction work, leaving at least 30 people injured in both groups.
Among them, four received bullet injuries and were rushed to Sylhet MAG Osmani Medical College Hospital.
On information, police rushed to the spot and fired 20 rounds of bullets to disperse the clashers.
