30 JS seats to be kept for minorities if JP wins polls: Ershad

Jatiya Party Chairman HM Ershad said on Tuesday 30 parliamentary seats will be kept reserved for the minority communities if his party comes to power, reports UNB.
"This declaration will be made in the election manifesto of the party for the next general election," he said while exchanging views with the Hindu community leaders at an auditorium in the capital on the occasion of Janmashtami.
Claiming that his party cherishes non-communal spirit, Ershad said it had formed a welfare trust fund for the Hindu community and declared the day of Janmashtami as a holiday while in power.
Party leaders Raushon Ershad, GM Quader and Ruhul Amin Hawlader also spoke on the occasion.
