30-member business team off to Tripura with PM

A business delegation of the Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FBCCI) left the capital Wednesday for Agartala as entourage of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina to the north-eastern Indian state of Tripura.
The Bangladeshi businessmen, apart from bilateral discussion on trade and investment with their Indian counterpart, would also attend the honorary D Lit degree awarding ceremony to the Bangladeshi Prime Minister by the Tripura Central University.
This is the first-ever visit of a Bangladeshi Prime Minister to Tripura, the state that extended various supports to freedom-fighters and thousands of distraught people during the 1971 Liberation War.
President of FBCCI A K Azad is leading the 30-member business delegation, which also includes first vice president of the organisation Md Jashim Uddin.
