30 people injured in clash in Bianibazar

BIANIBAZAR, Nov 15 (UNB): At least 30 people were injured in a clash between two groups villagers over cutting paddy at Mollahpur in Bianibazar uapzila of Shylhet Sunday night.
Local said, the calsh ensued between the people of Kachatul village and Paton village at night when Atiq and Tamiz of Paton village went to cut the paddy from a land claimed by the people of Kachatul village as their lown.
Both the groups equipped with lethal weapons attacked each other, leaving 30 people injured from the both sides.
Bianibazar thana officer-in-charge Fazlul Haque Sibli said police rushed to the spot and brought the situation under control.
Body found
The hanging body of a housewife was recovered from her house at Sachanchak village in Bianibazar uapzila of Shylhet Monday morning.
The deceased was identified as Aklima Begum, 30, wife of Gouchh Uddin of Sachanchak village of Charkhai union.
Victim's family alleged that Aklima was killed by her husband following a family feud. On the other hand, Aklima's husband said she committed suicide following an altercation.
Bianibazar thana SI Abul Kalam Azad said, the body was sent to hospital morgue for autopsy.
