30,000 Yaba recovered: 1 held

Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) personnel in separate drives recovered 30,000 pieces of Yaba tablets and arrested a man at Baraitali in Teknaf Upazila in Cox’s Bazar on Tuesday night and Wednesday morning. Commanding officer of BGB Battalion 42 Lt Col Abu Zar Al Zahid said being informed, a BGB team conducted a drive in Baraitali Ghat near Naf River around 11:30 on Tuesday. Later, the BGB men recovered 10,000 pieces of Yaba from the spot in an abandoned condition. In another drive, the same team arrested a man, Mohammad Nur, 35, from Baraitali village along with 20,000 pieces of Yaba around 4:00am on Wednesday, Lt Col Abu Zar Al Zahid added, according to a news agency.
