30,000 Yaba seized in Teknaf

Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) personnel recovered 30,000 pieces of Yaba worth Tk 9 million from Naf River in Joullardwip under Teknaf Upazila in Cox’s Bazar district on Thursday night. Tipped off, a team BGB Battalion-42 conducted a drive in Joullardwip around 8:30pm and recovered 30,000 pieces of Yaba searching a boat, said commanding officer of BGB-42 Lieutenant Colonel Abu Jar Al Zahid. However, none was arrested as the drug smugglers managed to escape leaving behind the contraband tablets, according to a news agency.
