31 BNP men sent to jail in eight cases in Khulna

KHULNA, Aug 9 (BSS): A court rejected on Sunday bail of 31 BNP leaders and activists and sent them to jail in eight cases filed in connection with bomb blasts and arson in Daulatpur thana in Khulna city early this year.
Judge of the Metropolitan Session Judge's Court Md. Sayedur Rahman passed the order.
Police filed eight cases against over 50 BNP leaders and activists with Daulatpur thana in this connection.
Earlier this morning, they surrendered before the court and sought bails against their cases.
The BNP leaders are BNP city unit senior joint secretary Prof Tariqul Islam, secretary of Daulatpur thana unit BNP Sirajul Haque Nannu, joint secretary Murshid Kamal, organising secretary Sazzad Ahsan Toton, Jubo Dal secretary Hafizur Rahman Pintu and Jubo Dal leader Sohel Molla.
