31 held from city bars at midnight

Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) arrested 31 people, including two women, from two bars in the city's posh Gulshan area midnight Thursday. As part of their on-going anti-drug operation, a team of RAB-1 raided Fu Wang Bar and All Community Club at about 11pm and arrested 31 people who were taking alcohol without any pass. During the six-hour drive, the elite forces also recovered 50 bottles of foreign liquor illegally kept in the bars. A RAB officer said they also picked up managers of both the bars for not setting up money exchange booths at those bars. — UNB
