31 hospitalised with dengue in 24 hrs

Thirty-one dengue patients were hospitalised across the country in the past 24 hours until Friday morning taking the total cases to 1,610 this year.
Of the latest dengue positive cases, 30 were hospitalised in Dhaka, Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) said in its regular bulletin.
Of them, 19 were admitted to public hospitals and the rest 11 to different private healthcare facilities.
Outside Dhaka, only one patient was admitted to Mymensingh Medical College Hospital.
According to DGHS report, 51 dengue patients were hospitalised in the previous 24 hours.
With the latest count, a total of 186 dengue patients-145 in the capital's forty-seven hospitals and 41 in other regions-are getting treatment.
A total of 1,423 dengue patients were released from hospitals after getting treatment in the calendar year, including 1,256 in Dhaka and 167 elsewhere in the country.
The mosquito-borne disease has claimed one life this year.
Actual number of dengue patients is much higher as the figures represent only hospitalised cases.
